Students who choose to study at Menzies Institute of Technology will have the pleasure of learning in a safe, friendly and relaxing environment in and around the buzzing city of Melbourne, where public transport, shopping, entertainment, cafés and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Living Costs in Melbourne
International students need to meet their living expenses while studying in Australia. International students generally will need AUD$15,000 – AUD$18,000 per year to meet their living expenses. Students with an adult dependant will need an extra AUD$4,000 – AUD$6,000 while students with dependent children should budget an additional AUD$3,000 – AUD$5,000 per child per year.

These living cost estimates are based on 2 people sharing an unfurnished two bedroom apartment, flat or house. They are not inclusive of tuition fees.

Accommodation
Menzies is happy to help students arrange their initial accommodation in Melbourne. We recommend Homestay Accommodation. You will be living with an Australian family and it is a fantastic way to adjust to life in Melbourne. You will have your private single room with a bed, desk, bed linen and towels. Three meals per day are provided if you wish. 

Alternatively, you can arrange for other forms of accommodation such as hotel/guest houses, rental house or shared accommodation. Below is a table that compares the different types of accommodation available to students in Melbourne
